 Anne Dranitsaris, Ph. D.

I am a clinical psychotherapist and behavioral change consultant with more than 30 years experience in the field of personal and professional growth and development.

My experience over the course of my career has included working with individuals, couples, and groups for the treatment of Anxiety, Addiction, Depression, Stress and Anger Management, Eating Disorders, and Relationship and Family Conflicts. In organizations, I have provided business relationship coaching and counseling for leaders and business owners having trouble with their business because of conflict in relationships (partners, leadership groups, boards, etc.) I have also coached senior leaders and teams, deepening their ability to understand how personal dynamics and team dysfunctions ultimately affect the bottom line.

As a psychotherapist, I have taken an approach that draws from a number of schools of theory and practical disciplines, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Self-Psychology, Buddhism, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Psychological Type Assessment. Incorporating my experience with alternative forms of healing and spiritual study to my practice, I approach each individual from a holistic, psycho-educational perspective. My therapeutic approach includes looking at thoughts, feelings, beliefs and behaviors; finding patterns of behaviour that are limiting to the individual and providing tools for developing greater insight and awareness, and for changing and adapting to new behaviours. I work with each client to develop goals for therapy, and to work through the barriers that come up on the road to greater self-awareness and the actualization of their potential.

Having witnessed the success of this approach with individuals and groups, and by drawing on my business experience, I could see the direct application of the therapeutic tools into the corporate world, which drove me to expand my work into that realm. With this vision, I took a chance at pioneering therapeutic programs into the corporate world, and for the past 15 years, have worked with numerous employees, leaders and teams, both at home and abroad. I expanded my practice to include Corporate Therapy and Behavioral Consulting, practices that involve assessing, educating, training, and coaching to develop greater self-awareness, awareness of others, improved team dynamics and overall corporate functioning. The programs I have been able to develop and implement are at the cutting-edge of the business awareness movement.

Throughout my career, I have taken the approach to create understanding and awareness through informing and educating my clients and the people I have had the honor of sharing my knowledge with.

I have done so through the frequent opportunities I have enjoyed to speak and to write on a broad range of topics on behaviour, emotional intelligence, and personality styles and their impact in the workplace. Over the years, writing has been the most favored and prolific means through which I have communicated with a broader audience. In addition to publishing numerous articles on a variety of topics, my written portfolio includes authoring a series of books on personality type based on Jung's theory of Psychological Type. "The Personality Profile Series©" books are used to help individuals in coaching and counseling to understand themselves, their environment, their partners, and their children. My latest series of books, "The Jung Typology" Series, focuses on understanding the impact of personality type on employees, teams and leaders. I have also developed an assessment tool to help individuals understand their natural Striving Style and how their behaviour changes, or how they adapt, during stress. I am in the process of writing my next publication, a book on Relationship Styles that identifies the positions we assume within our relationships and how those impact how we behave in relationship to others, whether it serves us or not!

I am excited by the challenges that working with interpersonal dynamics bring and by opportunities to bring new concepts and theory into practice to facilitate the growth of people toward their potential. I welcome the opportunity to work with individuals and organizations to facilitate their ability to achieve their potential.
