 Living Mindfully

Our philosophy is that health and healing involve the integration of Mind, Body and Spirit and that utilizing all three will ultimately lead to greater growth and faster healing; we believe that problems and symptoms can be guides to our ultimate growth, healing and recovery.

We believe that clients are unique, creative, caring and sensitive individuals who may struggle to find a connection with their authentic self. To achieve their potential, the person must develop a sense of their own individual spirit and self, and a belief that their emotions, thoughts and needs are valid, important and worth noticing. Our treatment approaches get clients on their unique path to removing barriers that get in the way of achieving their potential. Health of mind and body will begin to evolve as one's unique and individual sense of self begins to emerge. It is at this point that true healing can begin. Within each of us is the power to make choices that are in alignment with our purpose. When we open to the possibility of living our true purpose, the healing and the joy beings. It is about giving ourselves permission to imagine great things; to lose the fear of walking in our own wisdom and power and remembering that the same divine spark is within everyone and everything.

 

Mindfulness is an important part of this process. Jon Kabat Zinn says, "Mindfulness means paying attention in a particular way; on purpose, in the present moment, and non judgmentally."

 

It is often difficult for people to go inside and quiet the critical mind. We help give clients the ability to have awareness without judgment. Having the ability to go inside and stay non-critical of one's own experience, whether it is the breath, an emotion, or something as simple as eating is beneficial in recovery and optimal living.


Mindfulness Training

Mindfulness-Based Dynamic Coaching or Training is an interactive process in which client and coach work together to bring to light the unconscious factors and systems of beliefs that affect a client’s present behaviour.

MBSR Program

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction is a structured program, which teaches individuals the principles of mindfulness and how to apply them to deal more effectively with stress, pain, illness, psychological distress and the demands of daily life.



Mindfulness & Psychotherapy

Through the integration of mindfulness and psychotherapy, I help clients to cultivate a non-judgemental stance to their emotions, thoughts and feelings while exploring and resolving underlying issues.
